Organization: Albany-Dougherty Inner City Authority (ADICA) Salary: $55,000 to $70,000 Close Date: Job Description: Located in Southwest Georgia, the Albany-Dougherty Inner City Authority (ADICA) is currently recruiting an Authority Director who will also serve as the Downtown Development Manager. Albany-Dougherty County is considered the industry, business, retail, education, cultural, healthcare and media hub for a large, growing region. The Director will report to the ADICA Board and be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the authority to include serving as the Downtown Manager. The Director/manager will works with the Authority Board, City and County officials, and other community and economic development entities to develop and execute the downtown redevelopment/Riverfront Master Plans. Must be able to manage property acquisition, construction and remodeling projects; must understand and manage leases and contracts, bonds issuance, grants and loan programs as authorized. Promotes and sells a positive image of the downtown/Riverfront District, encouraging consumers and investors to live, work, shop, play, and invest in the downtown area by marketing the unique character. Position requires a Bachelor Degree in Planning, Business, Public Administration or related field and three years of downtown development or related experience and at least two years of experience in real estate, planning, or economic development. A Masters degree is preferred. Starting salary is expected to be between $55,000 and $70,000 and includes an excellent benefits package. The position is considered open until filled.
