Organization: City of Selma, Alabama Salary: Competitive, DOQ Close Date: Job Description: The City of Selma, Alabama is currently recruiting for the position of Police Chief. Reporting to the Mayor, the Chief will be responsible for directing a staff of approximately 100 employees with 60 sworn officers and overseeing all law enforcement activities for the City. Ensures staff is properly trained and allocated in order to effectively and efficiently protect the life and property of the citizens of Selma. Position requires a Bachelor Degree in Criminal Justice or related field and 10 years of law enforcement experience with at least two years of supervisory experience in a management level position. Starting salary is expected to be competitive based on the qualifications of the selected employee. The position is considered open until filled.
