The Director of Engineering and Construction reports to the Assistant City Manager and is responsible for properly managing the Department of Engineering and Construction. Functional areas include the design and construction of streets, storm water systems, water systems, wastewater systems, parks and buildings. The Department is currently assigned 18 employees. Requires the equivalent of a Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering and sufficient professional experience in municipal engineering design and construction to demonstrate competency for this position. As a critical part of the City’s management team, candidates for this position must have three years of management level experience and demonstrated leadership and communication skills.
