Organization: Liberty Consolidated Planning Commission Salary: Salary range to mid – 80’s DOQ plus excellent benefits Close Date: Job Description: Located on Georgia’s coast, Liberty County (County Seat is Hinesville) is one of the fastest growing and progressive counties in the state. Established in 2004, the Liberty Consolidated Planning Commission provides planning, zoning, transportation and engineering design review and inspection services for the 8 jurisdictions that fall under the jurisdiction of the Commission. The Commission is currently recruiting their first Sr. Engineer to oversee the design review and inspection functions. The primary responsibilities include reviewing engineering plans, maps and subdivision plans for compliance with appropriate specifications and ordinances; preparing construction plan review reports and issuing permits; inspecting pre-building construction sites to insure that constructed features conform to size, style and location specifications and corresponding with contractors to insure that constructed features conform to specifications. Minimum qualifications include a Bachelor Degree in Engineering, PE Certification and 5 to 7 years of progressively responsible engineering experience. Knowledge of plan design and water and storm water is preferred. Salary range to mid – 80’s DOQ plus excellent benefits.
