Organization: Skiff Medical Center Salary: Close Date: Open until filled. Job Description: Skiff Medical Center is a City-owned, 68-bed primary care hospital located in Newton, Iowa with satellite facilities in Baxter, Colfax and Monroe. Newton has a population of 15,500 and is located on Interstate 80 approximately 30 miles east of the Des Moines metropolitan area which has a population in excess of 400,000. The CEO reports to a five-member Board of Trustees elected by Newton voters. Skiff, which is accredited by the Healthcare Facilities Accreditation Program, has an annual operating budget of approximately $40 million and 350 FTE’s. Skiff is looking for a collaborative, strategic and decisive leader with excellent interpersonal and communication skills who can forge a common vision and teamwork among the Skiff Board, management, employees and the community. The minimum job requirements are a: 1) Bachelor’s degree and 8 years of CEO or assistant administrator experience in a hospital or healthcare organization; or 2) Master’s degree in healthcare, business administration or a related field and 5 years of CEO or assistant administrator experience in a hospital or healthcare organization.
